Google Now Update Brings Helpful Widget for Android

Google Now Update Brings Helpful Widget for Android

After hearing some rumors of an upcoming Google Now search update for the several days, the search giant delivers an official update in the Google Play store today. The new update is for Android devices running 4.1 Jelly Bean and higher and brings a clever new widget that can be customized with your Google Now card info. It can also be re-sized to fit your device and can be accessed from your home or lock screen. The update brings lots of new goodies including enhanced sports info, movie listings and reviews, local real estate listing info, as well as cards with scan-able bar codes for airline boarding passes and more. Google's key idea behind Google Now is simply "Search everything. Instantly." This latest update helps Android Jelly Bean users do just that.  Google Now is leading the way in highly functional voice based search. After personally having experience with both Siri (Apple's voice assistant on iPhone) and Google Now on a Samsung Galaxy S 3, I find that Google Now consistently produces both faster and more accurate results. You can download the Google Now update today at Google Play
